Is photovoltaics still worth it in 2026?
Yes. With high electricity prices, 0% VAT on the system and a statutory feed-in tariff, PV still pays off — especially with a battery, because you then use more of your own power instead of feeding it in at a low tariff. In Hamburg it is mandatory on many roofs anyway.
What does a solar system cost in Hamburg?
That depends on roof size, battery and the condition of your meter cabinet. A 10 kWp system including battery storage often starts from around €14,000 with a regional specialist. We give the binding fixed price after the free on-site consultation — in writing, without add-ons.
Am I obliged to install photovoltaics in Hamburg?
On new builds the solar obligation has applied since 2023, on existing buildings since 2024 for major roof work — at least 30% of the roof area. From 2027 the solar green roof is added for flat roofs. We check what specifically applies to your building.
Is a battery worth it?
In most households, yes. Without a battery you often use only around a third of your solar power yourself, the rest goes to the grid at a low tariff. With a properly sized battery your self-consumption rises significantly — we size it to your real consumption, not to a sales package.
Do you also do older buildings and difficult roofs?
Yes — it's one of our strengths. With our own roofer on the team we also mount on old, complex or listed roofs cleanly and watertight. This is exactly where many large providers use subcontractors, which can lead to damage.
Do you handle registration with the grid operator?
Yes, completely. We handle registration with the grid operator, the entry in the Marktstammdatenregister and the registration under §14a EnWG. You don't have to deal with the paperwork.
What happens after installation — is there maintenance?
Yes. We monitor the yield, maintain the system and are reachable if something comes up. Unlike pure sales providers, we don't disappear after commissioning — you still have one fixed contact.
